The most innovative ideas in craft bicycle design recently made their debut at bi-annual design-build competition Oregon Manifest 2011, held September 23-24 in Portland, Oregon.
For this competition, participants -- 35 independent builders and five student teams -- were challenged to design the "ultimate" utility bike. All of the bikes held their own in the competitive 51-mile race that culminates the design competition. Since the bikes are prototypes, no word yet on a possible release date or price.
